Who is our client ?

 

After the acquisitions of Rosenmund-Guedu and QVF in 2000, De Dietrich Process Systems renamed its chemical equipment activity “De Dietrich Process Systems”.

 

De Dietrich Process Systems designs and produces equipment and complete solution units for the chemical, pharmaceutical and green chemistry industries. Customers are major accounts such as BASF, Bayer, GSK or Sanofi.

 

Established in France, Germany, United States, China and India, the group employs 1,300 people and has its headquarters in Alsace (France).

What was the challenge ?

 

Technical and Innovation Director of DDPS, Jean-Philippe Pfeiffer, had identified three issues :

 

    • Increasingly complex requests from customers,
    • Increasingly shorter delivery times,
    • Technical teams scattered in numerous sites.

 

In addition, the group aimed for better team collaboration to share skills and expertise as well as improve data sharing to increase responsiveness and flexibility.

 

De Dietrich Process Systems has chosen to deploy Dassault Systèmes 3DEXPERIENCE PLM platform to monitor projects from design phase to their implementation phase.

 

 

Results ?

 

As Jean-Philippe Pfeiffer explains, “the 3DEXPERIENCE platform is a real decision-making tool that facilitates management of projects”. Also, this enables management to identify securely top priority projects on a global scale and though implement decisions locally. It was noticed that the project view is shared by employees who now think more in terms of “customer project” and less in terms of departments.
